Terms and Conditions

Legal

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) – Under the new government GDPR, I am required by law to obtain your permission to store your personal data. By opting in you are allowing me to contact you for arranging appointments and send you appointment reminders and treatment information by email. Veterinary Referral – In accordance with the Veterinary Surgery (Exemptions) Order 2015, animals will only be treated with the prior consent of the animals registered veterinary surgeon.

Prior to Treatment

Animal Health – If I do not think it is in your dog’s best interest to receive treatment upon my arrival to your appointment, I reserve the right to refuse treatment under the Veterinary Surgery (Exceptions) Order 2015.

  • Is suffering with a gastrointestinal illness

  • Suffered an epileptic fit within two weeks

  • Has an open wound or infection

  • Has an infectious or contagious disease, ie: kennel cough, mange, strangles, ringworm etc

  • Is in season

  • Tying up

  • Laminitis

Change in condition – Please inform Emily Launchbury Veterinary Physiotherapy of any changes to medication, surgical procedures or changes in veterinary advice affecting your animal.

Your Treatment

Cleanliness – Please ensure that your animal is not muddy and is as clean as is reasonably possible prior to treatment. Ensure that every attempt has been made that your animal has emptied their bowels before treatment.

Late arrival – If you arrive up to 15 minutes late, the session will commence, however, it will have to finish on the scheduled time to allow for the remaining appointments to run on time. Arrival after 15 minutes into the session may mean that the session will not take place. The full charge will apply.

Risk – Whilst every care is taken to ensure the safety of the animals undergoing the treatment and maintain the equipment to a very high standard, all animals receive treatment entirely at their owner’s risk.

Cancellations and Payment

Cancellations – If  you cancel 48 hours before an appointment no charge will apply. If you cancel within 12-48hrs of an appointment, without a medical reason for your animal, a 50% charge will apply. Not turning up to an appointment, and cancellations made on the day of the appointment, without a medical reason for your animal, will be charged at full price.

Payment – Sessions must be paid for in full on the day of treatment, or in advance. I accept cash or BACS.

Complaints Procedure – I hope to resolve any issues with treatment swiftly and directly. If applicable, complaints should be put in writing, via email, within 4 weeks of the incident.

Insurance – Insurance companies may reimburse you for veterinary physiotherapy treatment fees. All sessions must be paid for up front. Invoices and receipts will be provided for you to submit to your insurance company. Please note – it is your responsibility to confirm that your claim is approved and that physiotherapy costs will be reimbursed to you by your insurers.
