Other Animals

Physiotherapy can be used to help all animals from pets to show animals to farm animals. It is useful in cases where assistance in recovery from surgery or injury is advised, as well as those requiring general maintenance programmes to keep them comfortable and mobile

Veterinary Physiotherapy uses non-invasive techniques to assess and treat your animals. It helps to prevent injury, reduce pain, improve mobility and improve strength.

What other animals?

During one of my placement days whilst I was studying, I had the privilege to administer veterinary physiotherapy treatment to camels! These camels are used for camel racing, but also appear in film and tv programmes, and hired for weddings and special events.

Cats are not the usual customers for physiotherapy treatment due to their flighty behaviours, however, I have treated them previously. Some may require a more hands off approach than others.

The list is endless however here are some examples:

  • Show sheep

  • Show cattle

  • Cats

  • Rabbits

  • Donkeys

Enquire today to determine if veterinary physiotherapy treatment would be suitable for your animal.
